Craig Noone and Andrew Nabbout have led Melbourne City to a club-record sixth-straight win leading a second-half blitz over the Western Sydney Wanderers.
The English winger scored two goals either side of half-time, while Nabbout got his first in City colours helping turn-around an early deficit following Bernie Ibini’s opener.
Jamie Maclaren helped round-out the win with his 12th of the season extending his lead in the Golden Boot race to four.
The win puts Patrick Kisnorbo’s men into second-place, leapfrogging their opponents and caps off a week which has seen them knock off the two top sides heading into last night’s contest.
Despite being in full-control, City were exposed following a mix-up at the back allowing for Mitch Duke to whip in a well-timed cross to Ibini who nodded home the opener – the first goal they had conceded in just over four games.
