Brisbane Roar’s winning run has been brought to a halt by Macarthur FC.
Aiming to secure five A-League wins on the trot for the first time since 2012, the Roar were beaten 2-0 by the Bulls at Dolphin Stadium.
In the first A-League meeting between the teams, the Bulls – who made seven changes to the team that started in their 2-2 weekend draw with Western Sydney Wanderers – scored twice in the final 15 minutes of normal time.
The provider of the first goal was substitute Jake Hollman, who got the better of experienced Roar fullback Jack Hingert before hitting a low cross into the path of unmarked midfielder Denis Genreau, whose 76th-minute shot was too good for Brisbane goalkeeper Jamie Young.
