John Bateman has slammed reports his partner is homesick amid talk linking him to an NRL return, less than 12 months after walking out on the Raiders to go home.
Bateman went to market last year but couldn’t get a sufficient offer and instead opted to return to England on a long-term contract.

But the Englishman’s partner is said to be homesick and wants to return to Australia.
On Wednesday, The Daily Telegraph’s Dean Ritchie told the Big Sports Breakfast that the Wests Tigers were emerging as a potential destination for the Test back-rower.
“It was a whisper over the weekend and now it’s become the talk of a number of clubs,” Ritchie said.
