The Parramatta Eels are facing an uphill battle to keep all their big-name stars with seven free to negotiate with rivals from November 1.
The Australian’s Brent Read revealed last week that $4.2 million worth of Eels talent was up for grabs with rivals ready to pounce.
Read said it was unlikely that the Eels would be able to hold onto all seven with the likes of Isaiah Papali’i (currently on a paltry $120,000 a season) and Marata Niukore set for major upgrades.
