To beat the All Blacks at Eden Park, you have to be perfect.
The Wallabies started well enough and finished with a bang, but the dodgy lineout and the 12 points left out on the field from the kicking tee stung.
It meant the Wallabies were chasing their tails when they should have been right in the mix against an All Blacks side that was forced into errors from some good early defensive efforts.
Still, the Wallabies scored four tries and that should give them some confidence ahead of their second match at Eden Park, where they haven’t beaten the All Blacks since 1986.
