He was dubbed the “man of the moment” during his best performance in recent memory. And now Michael Ennis believes Anthony Milford can be considered a “great buy” for the Rabbitohs.
For the last couple of years Milford has felt the burden of the $1 million price tag. His form has suffered, he was dropped to reserve grade and was told by the Broncos he wouldn’t be offered a new contract beyond this season.
The Rabbitohs swooped in and signed the 27-year-old on a cut-price deal. Whether that peace of mind contributed or not, Milford gave his new club a taste of what’s to come when he led the Broncos to a thrilling two-point win over the Warriors with a try, three try assists, four tackle busts and three linebreak assists.
Ennis believes if the veteran playmaker can continue with that same brand of free-flowing footy he could end up being a “great buy” for the Rabbitohs…
