Broncos legend Gorden Tallis has recounted a hilarious ‘mad Monday’ moment after rugby league supremo Phil Gould made a sweeping declaration.
Kevin Walters side are only 80 minutes away from lifting the trophy this season, but Gould wrote Red Hill club off in July.
He claimed at the time “I just don’t see enough in their defence” before doubling down and making a bold prediction the Panthers will win by 20 points on Sunday.

Tallis, who played in the premiership-winning Broncos outfit in 2000, explained Gould has previously written off the Brisbane club ahead of a grand final.
But after beating the Roosters 14-6, the Broncos were triumphant and couldn’t resist rubbing it in Gould’s face.
