Josh Dugan Covid breach, reaction, Cronulla Sharks, police, pulled over, updates, NRL integrity unit

The NRL integrity unit is investigating claims that Cronulla Sharks player Josh Dugan breached NSW Covid laws on Friday night.

A police report claims that officers from the Chifley Police District stopped a Jeep Cherokee at 11.30pm and spoke to two men – one aged 31 and another aged 30.

The pair, from Gymea and Alexandria, were pulled over in Lithgow – 150 kilometres from their places of residence.

The incident was first reported by The Daily Telegraph, which revealed the 31-year-old in question was Dugan, who was left in Sydney while the rest of the team relocated to Queensland.

The pair were directed to return home but were pulled over again 40 minutes later after instead heading away from Sydney.
