George Burgess charged by police, road rage incident, St George Illawarra Dragons contract

St George Illawarra Dragons recruit George Burgess has been charged by police following a road rage incident last week.

The 29-year-old allegedly threw the mobile phone of another driver onto the road after that driver was caught filming him.

According to News Corp, he has been charged with “malicious damage” and will front Wollongong Local Court in October.

“(On Wednesday) legal representation for a 29-year-old man was served with a court attendance notice for malicious damage,” a police statement read.

“The man is due to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday October 19.

“The charges relate to an incident at Denison Street Wollongong on August 23.”
