Canberra Raiders hooker Josh Hodgson has opened up on the club’s decision to sack Curtis Scott and has thrown his support behind the centre, who he says is a “good kid.”
Scott was stood down earlier this season after a nightclub incident which saw police charge him with assault and the NRL fine him $15,000.
The 23-year-old’s case is listed for mention on August 30 to set a hearing date.
The club made the call on Monday to terminate Scott’s contract effective immediately due to his to “prior behaviour and recent assault charge.”
