Canberra backrower Corey Harawira-Naera is facing a lengthy suspension for an ugly high tackle which floored Melbourne star Jahrome Hughes on Thursday night.
It was in the dying minutes of the Round 22 clash when Harawira-Naera shot out of the defensive line and went to lay a shot on the opposition halfback.
But his shoulder connected with Hughes’ head, and both players dropped to the ground injured.

A mini melee broke out as both players remained on the ground, but it was definitely Hughes who emerged the worse for wear.
