Canterbury’s Lachlan Lewis stood down during NRL investigation into alleged off-field incident

Canterbury’s Lachlan Lewis has been stood down from playing duties while under investigation for allegedly placing a sound speaker provided by the NRL up for sale online.

Several media outlets reported the Bulldogs five-eighth put a speaker on sale on eBay after it was originally provided by the NRL to the club while in the Queensland hub.

The incident is currently with the NRL’s integrity unit, with officials trying to get to the bottom of whether it was a practical joke gone wrong.

Regardless, it could not have come at a worse time for Lewis.
