The AFL has confirmed Round 21’s game between Collingwood and Hawthorn will no longer take place in Tasmania, instead being moved to the MCG and played in front of empty stands.
Tasmania premier Peter Gutwein announced on Thursday the state had recorded a new case of COVID-19 for the first time in 12 months and would no longer host the game between the Pies and Hawks.
In a statement released on Thursday afternoon, the AFL confirmed the game had been moved to the MCG while retaining the same 2:10pm timeslot on Sunday.

It comes as Victorian authorities have not ruled out another state lockdown after two new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.
