Six junior tennis players are currently participating at the Pacific Oceania Championships in Fiji.
The nine days tennis championship got underway on Saturday (September 10) and will end this Sunday (September 18).
The team of six players include Christopher Kaiulo, Michaela Mesa, Adelaide Mesa, Pauline Hyun, Sugar-Ray Hakena and Colita Hakena accompanied by coach Eddie Mera.
PNG Tennis president Barbara Stubbings said the main objective for the junior players is to improve on their performances from the recent West Pacific Regional Championships and to try and finish in the top four where possible.
“This then opens up possibilities for selection in touring team events to Australia and New Zealand later in the year.”
