PM concedes delayed vaccine response

Prime Minister Scott Morrison conceded he could have brought Lieutenant General John Frewen earlier into driving the vaccine program, when questioned on past mistakes.

Mr Morrison said nature of the pandemic hadn’t allowed him to consult on issues as much as he’d like to.

“There’s no rule book,” he said.

“I have had to take decisions, not all of which were popular, and not all of which people would agree with and not on every occasion were right. Because we’re dealing with a global pandemic.”
