CARLTON defender Lachie Plowman has announced his retirement from the game.
The 29-year-old informed the Club this week, bringing an end to an AFL career spanning 11 seasons and 145 games.
A star in the under-18 TAC Cup for the Calder Cannons, Plowman was recruited by Greater Western Sydney at pick No.3 in the 2012 draft.
The defender joined the Blues at the end of 2015 via a trade, going on to make 125 appearances in the Navy Blue and earn his place on the No.20 locker.
In 2019, Plowman enjoyed a breakthrough season with the Club, playing every game and finishing third in the best and fairest count.
“I could not have asked for much more than to have been part of the AFL for such a significant period of my life,” Plowman said.
