They built it, now Kevin Costner has opened up baseball’s Field of Dreams — the first ever Major League Baseball game in Iowa.
While every time the cinematic world means reality, it can be unbelievably corny, the MLB has nailed the crossover as the Costner stole the scene with his incredible entrance to the match.

The 1989 classic film Field of Dreams follows a farmer named Ray Kinsella, played by Costner, who builds a baseball field in his cornfield after a mysterious voice tells him “if you build it, they will come”.
Now, 32 years after the film’s release, the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox have made the trip to Dyersville, Iowa for the event at an 8,000 seat stadium specially made for the match, but unfortunately not the exact field set up for the film.
