Over 100 Australian Olympians have been reunited with their loved ones after completing their two weeks of quarantine upon returning from Tokyo.
Many athletes spent their two weeks of isolation at Howard Springs in the Northern Territory before going their separate ways across Australia.
The return of the Australian Olympians was staggered throughout the event, as once an athlete had completed their last event they had a 48-hour window to leave Japan.
Emma McKeon, who hails from Wollongong, was pictured arriving at Sydney Airport after her quarantine period.
The 27-year-old won four gold medals in Tokyo along with three bronze. Her medal haul is the most by any female swimmer at a single Olympics; she shares a record with legendary Australian swimmer Ian Thorpe for winning five gold medals across two Olympic Games (2016 and 2020).
