Nick Kyrgios said his winning streak coming to an end was his least concern as not being able to see his sick mother is what is really difficult. On Friday, Kyrgios suffered a 7-6 (4) 6-7 (5) 6-1 loss to Hubert Hurkacz in the Montreal Masters quarterfinal.
After winning the Citi Open in Washington and his opening three matches in Montreal, Kyrgios couldn’t beat Hurkacz and clinch his 10th consecutive win. Kyrgios’ mother is currently in hospital and he is planning to return to Australia after the US Open.
