Matthew Dellavedova signs NBA deal with Sacramento Kings

Matthew Dellavedova is heading back to America.

The Australian basketball star, who played a key role in the Boomers’ drought-breaking bronze medal-winning performance at last year’s Tokyo Olympics, has signed a deal with the Sacramento Kings.

According to US reports, the deal is for one year.

Dellavedova won an NBA championship alongside LeBron James at the Cleveland Cavaliers and also played for the Milwaukee Bucks, before returning home to Australia in 2021 to link up with Melbourne United in the NBL.

The Kings struggled last season, missing the playoffs for the 16th straight time after finishing with a 30-52 record.
