Matt Crouch furious after Adelaide Crows meeting, won’t get new contract, deal, trade options

Adelaide midfielder Matt Crouch was reportedly left “furious” after being told he won’t be receiving a new contract – more than 12 months before his current deal expires.

Nine News Adelaide reported the out-of-form midfielder met with coach Matthew Nicks last week where he was told his stay at the Crows would not be extended.

Crouch was an All Australian and Adelaide’s best and fairest winner in their 2017 Grand Final season but injuries have limited his impact in recent seasons while he has spent games in the SANFL this year, racking up the disposals.

He has played in 11 games this season – including four of the Crows’ five wins – but could follow brother Brad, now at St Kilda, out the door as early as this off-season.
