Marc Leishman, Cameron Smith beat Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel winners, scores, in playoff, leaderboard, mullet

Australians Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman have won the US PGA Tour Zurich Classic of New Orleans pairs event, proving “Team Mullet’ is anything but a joke.

The duo carded a one-under 70 in Sunday’s foursomes to finish at 20 under pay, level with Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel before beating the South African duo on the first playoff hole for a fitting ANZAC Day triumph.

It’s Leishman’s sixth career PGA Tour title and Smith’s third having previously won the Zurich Classic, alongside Swede Jonas Blixt in 2017.

The winning team receives $US2,138,600 ($A2.7 million), meaning each man pockets $US1,069,300 ($A1.35m).

Leishman and Smith could team up again for Australia at the Tokyo Olympics after Adam Scott pulled out of contention last week.
