Australian basketball star Liz Cambage is reportedly set to end her time at WNBA side the Los Angeles Sparks and “wants out” of LA altogether.
Multiple sources told The Ball Out that the four-time WNBA all-star will leave the team and that an announcement could be made as early as Tuesday.
It is not clear where she could move next.
Cambage, 30, pulled out of the Opals’ Olympic campaign last year after allegations she used a racial slur towards Nigerian players during practice.
An investigation by Basketball Australia saw Cambage issued with a formal reprimand and the Opals never recovered from her late withdrawal, as they bombed out of the Olympics in the quarter-finals.
She has vowed never to play for Australia again, after an international career that saw her claim gold at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze at the 2012 Olympics.
