Now is the time for South Australian clubs to circle number one draft pick Jason Horne-Francis, according to Kane Cornes, as North Melbourne’s unrest continues to make headlines.
Horne-Francis, the 18-year-old described as a “generational player” has been one of the Kangaroos best in their dismal 2022 season.
But after postponing contract talks earlier this month, news of his “caution” from the club for his trip home to South Australia to see his mother for Mother’s Day and the drama surrounding the exit of three recruiting staff, Cornes says Port Adelaide and Adelaide need to strike while the iron is hot.
