Phil Mickelson, Tina Mickelson reveals mother Mary’s nervous texts, final round, news, caddie Tim Mickelson

When it comes to golf, Phil Mickelson is all about keeping it in the family. His caddie for this weekend’s historic PGA Championship victory was brother Tim – marking the first of Phil’s six majors since Tim in 2017 took over from Jim “Bones” Mackay as the man carrying the bag.

But now Tina Mickelson – older sister to Tim and Phil – has revealed hilarious ‘nervous texts’ from their mother during the final round at Kiawah Island.

In a screenshot shared by Tina, Mary begs Phil to “just to par in” and not “hit bombs or activate calves”.

Mickelson’s aggressive style has given fans plenty of entertainment over the years, but hasn’t always worked out for the now 45-time PGA Tour event winner. He infamously bombed out during the final round of the 2006 U.S. Open at Winged Foot – and like legions of fans around the world, his mother was hoping he could just hold…
