Australians Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman have won the US PGA Tour Zurich Classic of New Orleans pairs event, proving “Team Mullet’ is anything but a joke.
The duo carded a one-under 70 in Sunday’s foursomes to finish at 20 under pay, level with Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel before beating the South African duo on the first playoff hole for a fitting ANZAC Day triumph.
It’s Leishman’s sixth career PGA Tour title and Smith’s third having previously won the Zurich Classic, alongside Swede Jonas Blixt in 2017.

The winning team receives $US2,138,600 ($A2.7 million), meaning each man pockets $US1,069,300 ($A1.35m).
