Golf, St Andrews 150th Open, three holes that will decide champion, analysis, highlights

From the nerves at the opening tee to the valley of sin on 18, St Andrews is a golf course like no other in the world.

Remarkably, too, the fairway on the first opens to the public on a Sunday where picnics and dogs are the order of the day and the golf clubs are put away.

That won’t be the case this Sunday, however, as St Andrews prepares to hold the 150th Open.

But is there are a harder shot in world than the approach on the 17?
