The deal allowed the Suns to rookie list 10 players – up from the six available to other teams – while also handing them exclusive Academy Zone access to the Northern Territory, and the ability to pre-list Academy products prior to the national draft.
The likes of Connor Budarick, Alex Davies and Joel Jeffrey all joined the club through this pre-draft process.
But with the Suns seemingly on the rise those concessions will go under the microscope, with the club and AFL to meet and decide on whether or not it will continue into 2023.
