A furious Will Schofield has declared the Eagles’ non-reaction to Elijah Hewett being concussed by a Jordan de Goey bump is the worst thing the club has done in several years.
The West Coast premiership player delivered a scathing attack on the playing group who didn’t remonstrate after Hewett was cleaned up by the Collingwood star on Saturday.
De Goey received a three-match suspension from the AFL Tribunal after throwing himself at their mercy, pleading guilty to all elements of the charge and explaining he tried to apologise to Hewett first post-match, and then via text (which the young Eagle accepted).
