Magpies star Jordan De Goey will learn his fate for his brutal bump on Elijah Hewett at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night, with his hearing to kick off at 5pm followed by Eagle Liam Duggan’s at 6.15pm (all times AEST).
De Goey was referred directly to the Tribunal after his hit on Hewett in the first quarter of Saturday’s clash left the 19-year old concussed, with the act graded as careless and severe impact – the highest possible grading – and high contact.
It resulted in a recommended sanction of at least a three-match ban, which would rule De Goey out of Collingwood’s upcoming clashes against Melbourne on the King’s Birthday, Adelaide and Gold Coast.
