Giants star Toby Greene has denied making intentional contact with umpire Matt Stevic during a fierce grilling from AFL senior counsel Jeff Gleeson.
Greene faces being rubbed out for the rest of the season after being charged over the incident during a nailbiting win over the Sydney Swans.
He pleaded not guilty as the hearing got underway on Tuesday.
The Tribunal heard evidence from umpire Stevic who described the contact as “minor” and said he did not feel threatened by Greene. Stevic, however, said the incident was not “a good look for the game” after he watched back vision of the altercation.
