The finals have come early with 2019 Grand Finalists GWS and Richmond squaring off on Friday night – and it looks almost certain the loser won’t be making the eight in 2021.

The Giants (9-10-1, 96.4%) begin the round in eighth, thanks to that extra two points from the draw, and know if they win their last two games of the season they’ll be playing finals.

The Tigers (9-11, 100.1%) begin the round in 10th; they aren’t guaranteed to make the eight if they win their last two games, but it’s pretty likely, and their premiership defence therefore rides on this game.
