The Western Bulldogs are fearing Josh Bruce suffered a suspected ACL injury in the final seconds on Sunday’s loss to Essendon at Marvel Stadium.
As the contest drew to a close, Bruce’s knee appeared to twist awkwardly when caught under the body of an Essendon defender.
The 29-year-old immediately clutched at his knee as the final siren sounded, with medicos, teammates as well as Essendon players all coming over to the forward to show their support.

“It’s not looking good but our guys will confirm what the outcome is after a scan (on Monday),” Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge told reporters post-game.
Asked if he was fearing an ACL injury, Beveridge said: “That seems to be the fear.
“We don’t know the extent of it. You get ones that surprise you, so we still hold out a…
