Richmond star Jack Riewoldt believes Jack Viney was “lucky” to receive just a two game ban for serious misconduct after a marathon AFL Tribunal hearing.
After more than two hours, Viney was found guilty of serious misconduct and banned for two games for pinning his elbow to the neck and throat region of Sam Collins during Melbourne’s win over Gold Coast on Sunday.
Speaking on AFL 360, Riewoldt said the former Melbourne captain was fortunate to escape a longer ban.
