Eerie similarities between Geelong’s 2020 Grand Final collapse, and their qualifying final loss to Port Adelaide, sum up their great September flaw according to Saints great Nick Riewoldt.

The Cats’ disappointing loss to the Power, which has forced them into another crunch semi-final, saw them melt under intense pressure from the hosts’ fleet of small forwards.

It reminded Riewoldt of last year’s flag decider, where the Cats led at halftime by 15 points but coughed up nine goals to two as Richmond got its turnover game going.
