The long-awaited report about AFL expansion into Tasmania will recommend a “joint venture” between an existing club and Tassie ‘owners’, reports Seven.
The AFL is set to release former Geelong president Colin Carter’s business case for a 19th club on Friday, with league CEO Gillon McLachlan confirming the report would be released but a decision would not be made as to whether to accept the recommendations.
“We’ll look to make some sort of public release or announcement tomorrow,” McLachlan told reporters on Thursday.

“That won’t be any decisions, it will be a commitment that we’ll put out the Carter report tomorrow with some covering information for us. Please don’t expect a decision, it’ll be giving you the information.”
