The debate around what constitutes a dangerous tackle has once again flared, with St Kilda’s Dan Butler at its centre this time around.
Butler’s tackle on Sydney’s Nick Blakey in the third quarter struck a chord almost immediately, which was added to when the Swans’ dashing defender was subbed out.
There are two potential factors that could save Butler from a ban, however, or at the very least aid the Saints in what would be a near-certain AFL Tribunal appeal.
