One of the biggest names linked to the vacant Collingwood coaching position has pulled out of the race, with Don Pyke set to remain with the Sydney Swans.
The former Adelaide coach and highly-touted Sydney assistant earlier this month revealed he was “thinking about” a potential run at the Collingwood senior coaching job.
But foxfooty.com.au understands Pyke confirmed his withdrawal from the Magpies’ search for a new coach in recent days.

It means triple premiership Lion and Hawthorn assistant Craig McRae is now considered the strong favourite to take the reins at the Magpies following Nathan Buckley’s sudden mid-season departure this year.
