Before the finals get underway, the best team of the season will be named, with the All-Australian team revealed as part of the AFL Awards on Thursday August 26.
Fox Footy will air the semi-virtual event, live from 8:30pm EST, which will see the 22-man All-Australian side named along with the Rising Star winner and AFL Coaches’ Association Award winner, reportsAFL Media.
The finals series is expected to begin one day later on Friday August 27, which should mean a week one final will be played on Sunday for the first time since 2015.
