AFL legend Leigh Matthews has lashed Carlton’s hierarchy, declaring: “Whoever’s running that football club has got no idea how to run a football club.”
Matthews also advised embattled coach David Teague “wait to be sacked”, rather than resign, as the club continues to absorb and dissect the external review into the football department.
While Teague in the past week has appeared resigned to the prospect he won’t be at the club next year, president Luke Sayers on Monday assured Blues members their club wouldn’t be rushed on any review-inspired decisions.
