The 2023 AFL Draft came to a close last night, with a record-setting 29 picks made in the opening round on Monday. Four clubs – Brisbane, Fremantle, Port Adelaide and Richmond – made their first selections on the final night of the draft. The event was broadcast live and exclusively on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports. One of the biggest surprises of the draft was Sandringham Dragons defender Ollie Murphy slipping all the way to Fremantle’s Pick 41, despite being ranked 22nd by the Fox Footy lab and regarded as one of the best defenders in the draft. The draft tracker provided every pick, trade and bid by every club as they happened, and late mail provided all the intel heading into night two of the draft.
