Geof Motley dead, Port Adelaide mourns loss of most decorated premiership player

Geof Motley, a Port Adelaide legend and Australian Football Hall of Fame member, has passed away at the age of 88. Motley, who won nine premierships with the club, died after a short illness. Born and raised in the Port Adelaide district, he played 250 games for the club and was involved in all nine SANFL premierships between 1954 and 1965. He also won four best and fairest awards and the 1964 Magarey Medal. Motley played 28 state games for South Australia during his career.
