Adam Treloar injury, nightmare period with syndesmosis ankle issue, Western Bulldogs vs Essendon

Western Bulldogs star Adam Treloar admits there was a “nightmare” stage during his recovery from a long-term injury where he doubted whether he’d return to the footy field in 2021.

Treloar is available for the Bulldog’s upcoming clash with Essendon for the first time since suffering a serious syndesmosis injury in Round 10 against St Kilda, which required surgery.

The 28-year-old’s recovery was slower than expected across the first couple of his recovery, prompting coach Luke Beveridge to suggest Treloar mightn’t play again this season.
