New Zealand’s new Test hero Daryl Mitchell has continued his breathtaking English summer, creating history by reaching his third century of the series – and in the most audacious fashion.
Mitchell on Friday became the first player in Test history to score a century in all three Tests of a three-Test series played away from home when he passed triple figures on the second day of the third Test at Headingley.
With his score of 95, Mitchell advanced down the track to Jack Leach, lofting a ball from outside leg stump to over the long-off boundary rope for six.
