Former Australian cricket captain Tim Paine failed upon his return to first-class cricket, with the wicket-keeper batter falling for six.
Paine, 37, was playing his first professional match since standing down as Australian Test captain almost 12 months ago.
But the right-hander trudged off the Allan Border Field in Brisbane with his head down after edging a short-pitched delivery from Gurinder Sandhu to Matthew Renshaw at first slip.
His dismissal left Tasmania in all sorts against Queensland, with Paine’s fall leaving the visitors 6-74 on a grey day.
