Australia faces a daunting journey to claim its first men’s T20 World Cup title with two-time world champions the West Indies standing firmly in the way.
If Australia wants to progress to the semi finals, it will almost certainly have to beat the West Indies who just won a five-match series between the two teams 4-1 — and has won 10 of their 16 meetings in T20 cricket.
The ICC released the draw for the event in the UAE and Oman on Tuesday, revealing that Australia will start its campaign against South Africa on October 23.
