The five-match T20 series will take place from November 23 to December 3 in Vizag and Hyderabad. Pandya’s injury, sustained during the 2023 World Cup, has ruled him out for at least two months, meaning he will also miss three T20I and three ODI games against South Africa. Ajit Agarkar, who heads the selection committee, is expected to elevate Yadav to the captaincy due to Pandya’s absence. Yadav previously served as vice-captain during India’s West Indies tour, playing in five matches.
