Australia has restored some pride by crushing the West Indies in the first ODI by 133 runs courtesy of brutal spells from Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood.
The tourists, who won the toss in Bridgetown and batted first, once again suffered a nightmare collapse, losing 5-29 inside the final five overs of its first innings to post 9-252.
But Australia’s batting woes ultimately paled in comparison to those of the West Indies, who crumbled from literally the first ball.
Chasing a Duckworth-Lewis-Stern adjusted total of 257 to win, the West Indies scraped past triple figures and were bundled out in the 27th over for 123 runs.
