The Marsh brothers have long divided the Australian cricket community.
Shaun Marsh looked a million dollars but regularly fell cheaply in Tests and struggled for consistency, while younger brother Mitch was rigid with the bat and was given too many opportunities, according to many.
As junior Marsh admitted on the Ashes tour of 2019, “Most of Australia hates me”.
But on a disappointing tour of the West Indies, he has been the one shining light – and could have helped solved one of Australia’s big selection conundrums.
