ECB chiefs take bonuses for Hundred, players furious after pay cut

England’s centrally-contracted cricketers are reportedly furious that the nation’s top officials are set to share bonuses worth £2.1 million (A$4m) as part of an England and Wales Cricket Board incentive plan.

One player told Sportsmailthat he and his teammates are “very unimpressed” by the payday that is reportedly part of the board’s ‘long-term incentive plan’ (LTIP).

The publication reports that the bonus is described as a ‘retention tool for key senior leaders’, but it is widely regarded as reward for staging the inaugural Hundred tournament.
